Paul O'Donnell is an experienced tax practitioner with specialist expertise in income tax, consulting mainly in the area of structured, asset and project financing.

He has significant experience advising on the corporate tax affairs of Australian and foreign owned banking groups. With a focus on business and investment banking, Paul advises clients on product development, takeover proposals, equity derivatives, cross-border deals, and hybrid financings for the acquisition of businesses.

Paul's other area of specialist expertise is infrastructure financing. He advises consortia on effective tax structures for major infrastructure projects such as the cross city tunnel in Sydney and the Eastlink in Melbourne.

Prior to joining us in February 2007, Paul was a tax partner with Ernst & Young for 12 years, and therefore brings both accounting and legal perspectives to solve complex tax issues for his clients.
