Blake Dawson launched its shortened name with the firm's new visual identity today.
The new name and brand identity cap off a year of substantial growth for the firm following a period of strategic restructuring and repositioning of the practice.
Blake Dawson Chairman, Mary Padbury, said: "Over the past year, we have spoken extensively with our clients and colleagues about how the firm can improve its service. This has helped us better understand their needs and aspirations. Our ambition is to distinguish the firm by providing a service and workplace in which the hallmark is excellence with rapport. Our shorter name and new visual identity are intended to signal this commitment".
Managing Partner, John Atkin said: "The name change and new visual identity represent an important step in the firm's development. This has been very much a collaborative effort. Our people are passionate about the firm and its future. It was very important that this exercise was undertaken in consultation with all our people".
"Everyone has responded magnificently to this initiative. There has been a great deal of work behind the scenes to bring about the necessary changes and it's a great credit to our support teams and legal staff that it has progressed so seamlessly ".
Blake Dawson's new visual identity provides a recognisable new look for the firm's website, publications, correspondence and other communications. The new look has been developed by brand consultants, Principals and features illustrations by New Yorker published cartoonist, Charles Barsotti.
